MatchControl ONE

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains the processing of personal data when using matchcontrolone.com, the app MatchControl ONE, and when contacting support by email.

MatchControl separates local deletion, deletion of synchronized data on all devices and a complete iCloud reset. Deleted history entries are no longer included in evaluation.

1. Controller

2. Website hosting

The website and email mailbox are hosted by ALL-INKL.COM — Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data to deliver the website and secure its systems.

When the website is accessed, server logs may process the IP address, date and time, requested file, referrer URL, browser, operating system, access status and transferred data volume. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure, stable and error-free operation of the website. Regular server logs are normally deleted by the hosting provider no later than seven days after creation; longer storage may be necessary in individual cases to investigate attacks or misuse.

3. Cookies, local storage and external content

The website uses no analytics, advertising, user tracking, contact form or newsletter. It sets no non-essential cookies and loads no external fonts, videos or social plug-ins.

Public score pages use functional browser storage only: a random session identifier for the active-viewer count and, for a protected link, a one-way PIN hash are kept in session storage. A viewer may save a favorite tournament club in local storage. The favorite club is not transmitted to the operator. The random viewer identifier is used only for counting active viewers and is stored on the server only as a hash. Browser site data can be cleared at any time.

4. Email contact and feedback

The website and app provide email buttons that open the email application configured on your device. No information is sent through a website form.

When you email app@matchcontrolone.com, the information you provide is processed. This may include your email address, name, message, attachments and — if you choose to include them — app version, build number, device model and operating-system version.

Processing is performed to respond to your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when the message relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is responding to support requests and improving the app.

Support and feedback emails are normally deleted no later than six months after the matter has been fully resolved, unless statutory obligations or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims require longer retention.

5. Data processing in the app

MatchControl does not require a user account. Scores, clubs, squads, custom age groups, players, lineups, history, evaluation data, settings, logos and player photos are stored locally by default.

If the user enables iCloud synchronization, durable data such as settings, the club library, media, venues, seasons, planned matches, tournaments, rules, formations and completed history is stored in the user’s private CloudKit database to synchronize the user’s own Apple devices. The current live score, match clock and related live state are not stored as ordinary permanent match-history synchronization; however, they may be transferred temporarily through the user’s private CloudKit database when control is verified or explicitly taken over on another Apple device. The reusable standard password is synchronized separately and securely through iCloud Keychain; individual link passwords remain on the device.

The automatic match summary is generated locally from recorded match data by a rule-based text engine. No match data is sent to an external artificial-intelligence service for this purpose.

If the user explicitly activates a public match or tournament link, only the selected public content is sent to the MatchControl web server. The visibility level determines whether the page shows completion status, score, anonymized events or selected player names. Password protection is stored only as one-way verifiers. Public content can be revoked and expires automatically.

The app uses no advertising, user tracking or analytics SDKs. Push notifications are used only for system functions such as signaling private CloudKit changes, not for marketing.

6. Photos, logos, media and location

Users may voluntarily select logos and photos through Apple system functions. They remain local by default and, only when iCloud synchronization is enabled, may be stored in the user’s private CloudKit database. They are not published on public score pages. Users must use only content for which they hold the necessary rights.

The app requests the current location only after the user deliberately taps the corresponding venue-finder action. Apple system services may process the location for geocoding, search or opening Maps. There is no continuous location tracking, and the operator does not receive the current location.

7. Presentation mode, Live Activity and widgets

Presentation mode, Live Activity and widgets use Apple system functions to show selected match information on the device or a compatible external display. Widget placement is controlled manually by the user. The operator receives no match or connection data through these system displays.

8. App Store and payments

When downloading or purchasing the app, Apple processes data under its own responsibility. The operator does not receive complete payment data or Apple Account credentials. Apple's privacy information applies to Apple's processing.

9. Recipients and processors

ALL-INKL.COM is used as a technical service provider for website hosting and email. Personal data is not sold and is not shared for advertising or profiling. Email providers used by you and by the operator may technically participate in email communication.

10. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future where processing is based on consent.

To exercise your rights, email app@matchcontrolone.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority may in particular be the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

11. Resetting data on this device

Local app data can be removed in the app under Settings → Support, Privacy & Legal → Delete Local Data. Alternatively, local app data is removed by deleting the app, subject to any separate device backup. See also the dedicated privacy choices and data deletion page.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when features, services or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this address.
